AOTO MOLD · PEEK SPECIALIST

PEEK injection molds — we only do high-temperature engineering plastics

No general-purpose molding. AoTo Mold focuses on injection molds and rapid tooling for PEEK and other high-temperature engineering plastics, with DFM analysis in 48 hours to make steel-to-plastic conversion actually land.

RAPID TOOLING · SMALL BATCH

First samples in 7–15 days

Drawing review → DFM and Moldflow → rapid tooling → first-article inspection. Built for design validation, pilot runs and market samples from 1 to 5,000 pieces.

MATERIAL KNOW-HOW

You have to understand the material to take on PEEK

Victrex 450G / 450CA30, Solvay KetaSpire KT-820 / KT-880 and Evonik VESTAKEEP grades are kept on hand, with high-temperature oil units and desiccant dryers on the floor.

WHY AOTO MOLD

Why choose AoTo Mold for PEEK injection molds?

PEEK melts at 343 °C. A general-purpose molder applying commodity-plastic experience to PEEK is handing you the tuition bill. We do high-temperature engineering plastics only, and we run every step to specialty-plastic standards.

We know the material

Material specialists control grade selection, drying, mold temperature and shrinkage compensation. International brand grades and domestic alternatives are evaluated side by side — no guessing.

48-hour DFM feedback

Send a 3D drawing and within 48 hours you get DFM analysis, a gating proposal, Moldflow assessment and a quotation. Critical projects get a video review — decisions don't wait a week.

Rapid validation

Rapid tooling delivers first samples in 7–15 days, with flexible small-batch molding from 1 to 5,000 pieces. Validate the design without gambling on a hard tool.

Data, not reassurance

Moldflow first, full-dimensional first-article FAI, key dimensions under SPC with CPK ≥ 1.33, and material certificates with the shipment.

FAQ

The questions we get asked most about PEEK molds

How much does a PEEK injection mold cost?

It depends on the number of cavities, part complexity, mold steel and hot-runner configuration. A simple single-cavity tool and a multi-cavity hot-runner tool sit in very different price bands. Send us your 3D drawing and you get a specific quotation with a breakdown of what drives the price within 48 hours.

What is the lead time for a PEEK mold?

A standard single-cavity tool takes about 20–30 days. When you need to validate a design quickly, our rapid tooling option delivers the first samples in 7–15 days.

Which steel grades do you use for PEEK molds?

Mainly H13 hot-work steel, S136 / STAVAX mirror-finish corrosion-resistant stainless, and NAK80. Critical parts are vacuum hardened to HRC 52–56, and contact surfaces are nitrided, TiN coated or chrome plated to resist corrosion. Tool life is 300,000–500,000 shots with normal maintenance.

Does PEEK need drying before molding?

Yes — it is mandatory. PEEK is dried in a desiccant dryer at 150 °C for 3–6 hours and residual moisture must be held below 0.02 %. Otherwise you get bubbles, silver streaks and loss of mechanical properties. We run dedicated desiccant drying systems.

What is the minimum order quantity? Can you mold a single part?

Yes. For design validation we build soft or aluminium tooling and run from 1–100 pieces. Small-batch production runs flexibly from 100 to 5,000 pieces.

Can I specify Victrex, Solvay or Evonik grades?

Yes. We keep Victrex 450G / 450CA30, Solvay KetaSpire KT-820 / KT-880 and Evonik VESTAKEEP grades on hand as standard references, and we can also recommend domestic grades that meet the same performance targets when budget matters.
