If your question is not here, send it with your drawing — you will get a specific answer, not a brochure.
It depends on the number of cavities, part complexity, mold steel and hot-runner configuration. A simple single-cavity tool and a multi-cavity hot-runner tool sit in very different price bands. Send us your 3D drawing and you get a specific quotation with a breakdown of what drives the price within 48 hours.
A standard single-cavity tool takes about 20–30 days. When you need to validate a design quickly, our rapid tooling option delivers the first samples in 7–15 days.
Mainly H13 hot-work steel, S136 / STAVAX mirror-finish corrosion-resistant stainless, and NAK80. Critical parts are vacuum hardened to HRC 52–56, and contact surfaces are nitrided, TiN coated or chrome plated to resist corrosion. Tool life is 300,000–500,000 shots with normal maintenance.
Yes — it is mandatory. PEEK is dried in a desiccant dryer at 150 °C for 3–6 hours and residual moisture must be held below 0.02 %. Otherwise you get bubbles, silver streaks and loss of mechanical properties. We run dedicated desiccant drying systems.
Yes. For design validation we build soft or aluminium tooling and run from 1–100 pieces. Small-batch production runs flexibly from 100 to 5,000 pieces.
Yes. We keep Victrex 450G / 450CA30, Solvay KetaSpire KT-820 / KT-880 and Evonik VESTAKEEP grades on hand as standard references, and we can also recommend domestic grades that meet the same performance targets when budget matters.
Because PEEK punishes general-purpose experience. A 343 °C melt, 160–220 °C tool temperature and strongly anisotropic shrinkage break most of the rules learned on commodity plastics. We build our capacity, drying, temperature control and process database around high-temperature engineering plastics only.
