High-Temperature Plastic Molds

ABOVE 150 °C

Not every project needs PEEK — but every one of them needs the right process

PEEK gets the attention, but most high-temperature applications are served just as well by PEI, PPS, PPA or PPSU at a better cost. Choosing the grade is an engineering decision; we make it on data, not on habit.

MaterialKey propertiesWhere it fits
PEEK260 °C continuous use, self-lubricating and wear resistant; carbon- or glass-fibre reinforced grades available. Our main material, with a dedicated process database.
PEI / UltemHigh strength and high dielectric strength, inherently flame retardant.Aerospace cable supports, precision structural parts.
PPSChemical resistant, excellent dimensional stability, low water absorption.EV power connectors, sensor housings.
PPAHigh-temperature polyamide, good strength above 150 °C.Automotive under-hood and e-mobility parts.
PPSUHydrolysis resistant, steam-sterilizable, high impact.Medical devices, water-treatment components.
PSU / PESTransparent high-temperature sulfones with good hydrolytic stability.Sterilizable housings, fluid-handling parts.
LCPVery low shrinkage and excellent high-frequency performance.5G and semiconductor connectors.
PTFE / PCTFEExtreme chemical inertness and low friction.Corrosive-media and sealing components.
PPO / PBIDimensionally stable engineering blends; PBI for the highest temperature duty.Supporting grades for demanding thermal environments.

What all of these materials demand

Drying, properly

Every high-temperature resin here is hygroscopic. Drying is specified per grade and verified, not guessed.

Hot tool, even tool

Oil temperature control with mold-face uniformity within ±2 °C, on independent circuits for core and cavity.

Corrosion-resistant steel

High-temperature melts release aggressive compounds. We specify corrosion-resistant steel and surface treatment as standard.

HOW WE CHOOSE

Grade selection, side by side

For each project we evaluate the international brand grade and a domestic alternative in parallel, and we tell you what the difference actually buys:

  • Service temperature and thermal cycling requirement
  • Mechanical load, creep and fatigue conditions
  • Chemical exposure — coolant, fuel, sterilization, cleaning agents
  • Regulatory constraints — medical, aerospace, food contact
  • Cost per part at your annual volume
